FACTS about the Antigua and Barbuda Association of Georgia, Inc (ABAG)

  • ABAG, a 501c non-profit organization, was launched in 2003.  

  • ABAG seeks to create and maintain a viable network of Antiguans and Barbudans in the State of Georgia, and elsewhere in North America, that supports and promotes the cultural practices of Antigua and Barbuda.  

 

  • ABAG is a socially conscious organization which has donated to underserved children in over 15 schools.  ABAG has also donated to the homeless, health, education, disaster relief, orphanages and institutions for special needs kids.

 

  • ABAG supports the ABAG Foundation which is dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of students by providing academic scholarships, personal development workshops, mentoring and academic assistance.   

 

  • ABAG seeks to enhance the identity of Antiguans and Barbudans and persons of Antiguan and Barbudan heritage living in the State of Georgia

 

  • ABAG provides resources and services through education and networking. 

 

  • ABAG cares about its members and has promoted health and wellness through featured speakers and Get Fit activities.

 

  • ABAG continually contributes to the promotion of the Caribbean culture in Georgia.

 

  • ABAG promotes Antigua & Barbuda as a premier vacation destination.

 

MEMBERSHIP

ABAG membership is open to natural born or naturalized citizens of Antigua and Barbuda, persons of Antiguan or Barbudan heritage, spouses and significant others of those persons previously listed, and persons who participate voluntarily in the activities of the organization.

  

MEMBER BENEFITS

Membership entitles you to participate in our regular meetings, vote in elections, and serve on the Executive Board.  In addition, members have access to a network of Antiguans and Barbudans in the metro Atlanta area and members receive reduced rates for fee-based events hosted by the organization throughout the year.
